The Seahawks waived rookie Kemah Siverand this week, which reduced their roster to 76 players. Waiving a rookie isn’t usually huge news, but the rookie cornerback made it news with his actions that led to him being off the team.
The former Oklahoma State cornerback was caught on camera sneaking a woman into the Seahawks team hotel, and made things even worse when he tried and failed to dress the young lady up as a member of the team.
Analysts from around the sports world have crushed Siverand for his actions and that includes Louis Riddick. The ESPN analyst took to Twitter and blasted the rookie for his actions.
“Rookie. Undrafted. 2k singing bonus. Pandemic. And you think it’s smart to try and sneak a woman into the team hotel wearing team issued gear in training camp and jeopardize your career and maybe the health of yourself and your teammates. Peak 2020. Congrats,” Riddick said.
“The woman was wearing Seahawks gear in an attempt to disguise her as a player, I’m told,” NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero wrote on Twitter. “It did not work.”
