The Chicago Bears were faced with the reality of moving on from Russell Wilson after throwing multiple 1st round picks and a starter at the Seahawks, only to be turned down. The team made the decision to sign QB Andy Dalton instead.
On Wednesday’s edition of Get Up!, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter proceeded to leave the door wide open on Russell Wilson to get be part of a blockbuster trade.
“I don’t think it’s done, no,” Schefter said. “I don’t think I’m ready to say Russell Wilson is a Seahawk, will be a Seahawk.”
Schefter even suggested that a Seahawks-Bears trade could still work out as Wilson and Dalton could see themselves trading teams.
Wilson stil hasn’t demanded a trade and the Seahawks don’t look willing to give up on him and the Seahawks don’t want to start over as the current team are still Super Bowl contenders with him behind center.
Depending on how next season ends for the team, we can surely revisit these trade discussions.
