NFL Fans Were Confused And Appalled By ESPN Reporter’s Terrible “Pearl Harbor” Joke During Chiefs-Dolphins Game

Jeff Darlington had NFL fans incredibly confused with his Animal House-inspired “Pearl Harbor” joke.

The ESPN reporter was up early watching the Chiefs take on the Dolphins in Germany when he decided to bring up the Animal House reference.

“A mere history lesson here in Germany should provide the Dolphins all the hope they need in the second half. After all… Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor??” he tweeted.

The NFL game of the year might not be played in the United States. The first NFL game in Germany during the 2023 season featured two of the best teams in the sport. The Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins went head-to-head to determine who is the class of the AFC.

Miami’s comeback fell short when quarterback Tua Tagovailoa couldn’t handle a snap on fourth-and-10 from the Kansas City 31 with 1:03 to play.

Patrick Mahomes threw for 185 yards and two touchdowns and the Kansas City Chiefs held off the Miami Dolphins 21-14.
