Colts owner Jim Irsay was recently the subject of a feature on HBO’s Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel and there was one part that has gone incredibly viral.
Irsay spoke with correspondent Andrea Kremer about his struggle with addiction and alcoholism, including his infamous arrest in 2014 for suspicion of driving a car while intoxicated. He blamed his arrest in part on the fact that he was “prejudiced against” for being a “rich, white billionaire.”
Irsay said that he had trouble walking when Indiana police asked him to because he had recently had hip surgery, not because of any painkillers. He later pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor count of operating a vehicle while intoxicated in September 2014.
Irsay’s comment was talked about on ESPN’s First Take, in which Stephen A. Smith, Kimberley A. Martin, and Molly Qerim sharply criticized the Colts owner.
On Wednesday night, Irsay fired back by threatening to sue and personally attacking Martin.
ESPN’s First Take co-host Kimberley A. Martin has since responded in the most perfect way.

First, her one-word comment, “You’re,” corrected Irsay’s grammar on the “Nothing Burger” insult.
Martin also changed her X/Twitter bio, to “Woman that preceded Stephen A.”
Simply genius.
