The Russell Wilson trade rumors all but cooled off after the team turned down the Chicago Bears and forced them to move on and sign Andy Dalton to be their starter.
ESPN decided they were gonna rev that trade engine of the veteran QB by speculating him being traded before the 2021 season.
ESPN’s Mike Tannenbaum proposed a three-team blockbuster trade that would involve the Seattle Seahawks, Chicago Bears and New York Jets.
The trade would send Wilson to Chicago and Sam Darnold to Seattle (in addition to 2021 and 2022 first-round picks and linebacker Roquan Smith). The Jets would then receive a 2022 second-round pick from the Bears.
The Seahawks have to be willing to play ball, but they have showed this offseason that their plan on having Wilson behind center for them in 2021. Depending on how the 2021 season goes, we could be witnessing the end of an era next offseason,
