Aaron Rodgers promised not to make his decision drag on into the offseason, but that is exactly what happened and reports and rumors will continue to come out on him possibly moving on to another team.
On Wednesday, ESPN’s Field Yates predicted who’ll be the starting quarterback for each team next season. As you might have guessed it, he picked Rodgers to take his talents right back to the Packers.
As for Jimmy Garoppolo, he’s predicted to go to the Steelers.
“With Lance forecasted as the starter in San Francisco, Jimmy G needs a new home and Pittsburgh checks some of the proper boxes. The Steelers have a massive need, cap space to afford him and are far enough down in the draft order in a class that doesn’t offer any surefire quarterback prospects that a veteran trade makes sense to keep this team in the playoff mix.”
The Pittsburgh Steelers are “highly intrigued” in San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, according to The Game Day’s Jordan Schultz. Schutlz reported Steelers offensive coordinator Matt Canada is looking for an RPO-style quarterback, which would suite Garoppolo’s play.
Garoppolo will undergo surgery on his shoulder this offseason, which will push his availability to the middle of the summer. He’ll enter the 2022 season with one year left on his current contract.
