Todd McShay fell ill during Saturday’s Northwestern-Wisconsin broadcast on ABC and left the broadcast prior to the matchup’s conclusion.
The ESPN football analyst and sideline reporter was visibly shaken and not speaking like himself during his opening monologue. Earlier this year, McShay tested positive for COVID-19 and missed ESPN’s NFL Draft coverage, but has since recovered.
“Todd McShay is recovering after feeling ill during Saturday’s game. He’s currently planning to work his game assignment this weekend,” ESPN said to Awful Announcing in a brief statement.
According to an ESPN press release, McShay will be back on the sideline this weekend, as he joins Sean McDonough, Todd Blackledge and Molly McGrath for Clemson’s home game vs. Pitt.
The 43-year-old has worked at ESPN since 2006.
