Just when you thought it was over, reports are not indicating that we will likely be seeing many more layoffs at the Worldwide Leader in Sports.
According to a report from Front Office Sports, ESPN has reportedly decided to close two of their studios — their Seaport studio in New York and their Los Angeles studio inside the Crypto.com Arena complex.
The Seaport location, which is home to numerous popular shows like First Take, Get Up, NBA Countdown and Around the Horn, is expected to shut down in 2025, while the L.A. facility is likely to have a similar timeline.
The initial report from Puck News doesn’t specifically say that more layoffs will come with these closures, but it’s hard to imagine that the company will retain all of their employees after closing two major studios.
As FOS points out, staff from Seaport will likely shift over to the new ABC building in Hudson Square, while the L.A. employees could be forced to either relocate or work remotely — should they retain their jobs in the first place.
This news comes on the heels of ESPN having quite the brutal summer, as several big-name employees were handed their pink slips during massive rounds of layoffs.

Hopefully all of this doesn’t lead to another bloodbath at ESPN headquarters.
