MJ Acosta-Ruiz is headed for the big time.
ESPN Deportes is adding a new face to its Monday Night Football coverage as Acosta-Ruiz will be joining the crew as a sideline reporter for its Spanish-language version of MNF.
She is already familiar to fans since she has a strong social media following due to her work with NFL Network, including three years hosting NFL Total Access.
MJ Acosta-Ruiz will also anchor ESPN SportsCenter broadcasts originating from Los Angeles.
“I am thrilled to be joining the ESPN family,” Acosta-Ruiz said in an ESPN statement. “Serving the sports community in both English and Spanish has been a mainstay throughout my career, and I am honored to continue doing so with such a highly regarded group who share my commitment to inclusivity and excellence.”
Acosta-Ruiz has a short time to prepare as she will make her sideline debut on August 1 when the Chicago Bears face the Houston Texans in the preseason Hall of Fame game.

MJ Acosta-Ruiz is Quickly Becoming A Legend In The World of Sports Media
Over the course of her career, MJ Acosta-Ruiz has generated plenty of buzz, partly because of how smart and insanely attractive she is in the world of sports media.
For the past few years, MJ was the host of NFL Total Access, one of the premiere shows on the NFL Network.
She was the host of the NFL Network’s NFL Total Access for several years but stopped hosting in 2023 as she stated she would be taking a new role at NFL Network before the season started.
MJ Acosta-Ruiz had no idea at the time, but that was a good decision for her career as NFL Total Access would ultimately be canceled after 21 years on the air.
The former Miami Dolphins cheerleader worked for NBC and Telemundo in San Diego and has also been a lead anchor on international soccer broadcasts.
Wherever you look, Acosta-Ruiz has dipped her toe somewhere in sports media as her legend continues to grow.
