Fans who watched ESPN’s broadcast of the big-time Monday Night Football game between the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills were not happy with the network as they were left confused by a particular graphic.
The game itself was marred by Aaron Rodgers sustaining what’s likely to be a season-ending injury on his first drive. But the broadcast was pretty frustrating as viewers thought a flag was thrown on a first-down play because of how it came across on their televisions.
X user Dave Loughran vented via said platform as he posted a video of the play.

Typically, the yellow sign for a flag comes up when there’s a penalty, so it can get confusing even if another color is shown on screen.
ESPN has two MNF games coming up next week, with ABC to show the Browns vs. Steelers game while The Worldwide Leader in Sports airs the showdown between the Saints and the Panthers.
