Baltimore beat Cincinnati on Thursday night, but the outcome was overshadowed by injuries to Burrow and Ravens TE Mark Andrews.
ESPN Bet is trying to be different than their competitors and they may have just done that with one move.
The recently launched sportsbook operated by the worldwide leader announced a refund for bettors on the “Seeing Green” odds-boosted for Thursday Night Football which was promoted by Mike Greenberg.
The refund came after a wrist injury knocked Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow out of the game in the first quarter. not only that, the Bengals deleted a video in which they showed Burrow wearing a brace pregame, leading viewers to wonder whether Cincinnati withheld info about Burrow’s status.
ESPN said it would give ESPN Bet users their money back in the form of a bonus bet.
ESPN Bet thought it would be a good idea to refund the wagers for their new loyal customers instead of upsetting them.

Because of that, many called for Mark Andrews’ props to be refunded because he was injured in the first quarter of Thursday night’s game. Not only that, but Burrow being hurt also screwed other players who had no chance of hitting their prop numbers due to them playing with a backup quarterback.
Because of injuries, betting on sports has become a mess as fans take to social media begging for refunds.
Even if a player plays the majority of the game and suffers an injury, fans are still requesting bets and becoming upset when it doesn’t happen. Opening this can of worms will not allow it to ever be closed.
Betting on sports is only going to get crazier from here.
