Bill Belichick isn’t the friendliest coach in the NFL, nor would he be described as having a warm personality. Still, you don’t hear many people going around claiming to hate him.
ESPN’s Bart Scott is different. The former NFL linebacker has earned a reputation for being a hater in the sports sphere and is not ashamed of it. He recently reminded everyone of his hate for Belichick, with his feelings about the New England Patriots head coach going deeper than the rivalry between the Pats and his former team, the New York Jets.
A clip from a recent episode of ‘Pardon My Take’ shows Scott going off on the veteran HC.
“Pretty soon, Bill Belichick is entering the Sith Lord type of realm where I think that fans are going to start to hate him,” he’s heard saying in the video below. “They’ll realize the Patriot way was more about Tom Brady than him.”
Scott’s feud with Belichick goes back to the former’s BCS days. He was covering a game between the Patriots on the Indianapolis Colts for ‘The NFL Today’ and was completely snubbed by Bill, who spoke freely to Tony Gonzalez and Bill Cowher but pretended like he wasn’t even there.
The former Pro Bowler also doubled down on a previous statement in which he claimed he would not empty his bladder on the head coach if he was burning.

“Bill was an A- to me on something that had nothing to do with football, after my career,” he added. “I’m an equal opportunist A- hole … if we’ve got smoke, we’ve got smoke.”
It appears the 43-year-old is never going to let that go. But, if it helps Belichick feel any better, Scott hates Patriots fans just as much.
