With the Raiders needing a new starting quarterback, it’s only heightened rumors that they could push for a veteran QB to replace Derek Carr, who they benched and made clear they were trading this offseason.
Legendary quarterback Tom Brady could be about to rock the NFL world and join a new team for his 24th season when he becomes a free agent and that team could very well be the Raiders.
Brady will be 46 years old next season, with the expectation being that he’ll walk away from the game after this campaign. However, he has still shown that he’s capable of playing at an elite level, and could have one last final year in 2023.
During Friday morning’s ‘Get Up,’ three ESPN analysts suggested that the Raiders make that move for Brady. Former NFL player Ryan Clark explained the decision.
The Raiders make a lot of sense given that Brady could rejoin with his long-time offensive coordinator, Josh McDaniels, who is now head coach of the organization.
Brady is said to have tried to join the team before, but they opted to stick with Derek Carr. That decision likely cost them a chance at winning a Super Bowl since Brady won one with the Tampa Bay Bucs.
