The 49ers have been encouraged to lie at the next opportunity following a startling admission from after the Super Bowl.
The Niners lost to the Chiefs in overtime on Sunday night, with some of their players claiming they were unaware of the new overtime rules for the playoffs after the game. The Chiefs, on the other hand, revealed that they were more than prepared for such a situation as they were well briefed.
“I didn’t even realize that the playoff rules were different in overtime,” fullback Kyle Juszczyk said after the loss. “I assumed you just want the ball because you score a touchdown and win. But I guess that’s not the case. I don’t totally know the strategy there.”
ESPN’s Dominique Foxworth was stunned by what he heard and suggested that something like this should have never been put out there.
“Lie!” the former cornerback said. “What are y’all doing?”
“Don’t ever overshare in life,” Jeff Saturday added.

This is a pretty bad look for the team and places head coach Kyle Shanahan in a bad spot as he will be under added scrutiny on the back of what’s already being described as a choke job.
Foxworth is absolutely right; some things are best kept under wraps.
