It just feels like Aaron Rodgers will be making his announcement this week on what he wants to do with the rest of his career.
Rodgers might be appearing on The Pat McAfee Show again on Tuesday and just might tell the world if he is returning to the Packers, requesting a trade, or heading off into the sunset and retiring.
No one seems to know for sure what’s his next step going to be, and that includes his good-old friend Erin Andrews.
The longtime FOX sideline reporter doesn’t have an inside scope or any leverage in Rodgers’ decision whatsoever, but she still prefers he stays right where he is.
“Green Bay. I don’t want him to leave the NFC and I don’t want him to leave Green Bay. It’s good business for FOX,” Andrews told The Spun when asked for a preferred landing spot for Rodgers.
“They have been very close and I’ve been there for basically all of their losses like in the NFC championship a few years ago,” Andrews added. “You hate it for them. I really thought we were going to see them in the NFC championship.”
Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers had a disappointing end to their 2021 NFL season, when they fell 13-10 to the San Francisco 49ers in the divisional round of the playoffs. Rodgers spoke with members of the Packers’ front office to discuss his future recently and made it clear that “everything is on the table” moving forward.
