Fans reckon they know the former NFL player who made Erin Andrews cry back when she was a novice in the reporting business.
The veteran football reporter made a surprising revelation via her podcast last week, claiming that an unnamed Tampa Bay Buccaneers player embarrassed her to tears while she was working as a freelancer and had to be comforted by two of his teammates.
“I was working kind of freelance for an Orlando station. They wanted sound from the Bucs locker room,” she said.
“A particular player was so nasty to me. He physically turned his back away from me in the middle of his scrum. He also told me to go back, rehearse my question, and come back when I was ready. I was mortified.”

While she made sure not to name the player, fans are convinced it was Warren Sapp.

“Absolutely had to be Sapp,” one wrote.
“Warren Sapp for sure,” added another.
“Had to be Sapp, no doubt,” a user stated.
“Who was that player and why was it Warren Sapp?” asked another.
One user commented, “Probably Sapped her energy but the real Men knew how to treat a lady!”
Sapp played for the Bucs from 1995 to 2003 and was known for having a very short fuse, which is why fans believe he was the one who put Erin in that position.
Fortunately, the ordeal did not slow her career and she’s since become one of the most popular figures in sports media.
