Eric Reid might be a member of the Carolina Panthers, but he will call them all if they are engaging in something that is unethical or untrue.
The Carolina panthers safety took issue with the team’s official reporter for an answer he gave in response to a fan question when Bill Voth wrote on Panthers.com that Colin Kaepernick “briefly saw his starting job go to Blaine Gabbert after dealing with shoulder soreness.”
That happened in 2016 when Reid was still part of the 49ers, so he knew first hand what happened:
Back in November 2015, Kaepernick had surgery to repair a torn labrum in his non-throwing shoulder and then additional surgeries on his right thumb and left knee two months later.
He sat out the 1st four games of the 2016 season, but returned to the starting line-up where he threw for 2,241 yards with 16 touchdowns and completed 59.2 percent of his attempts in 11 starts.
