The New York Giants got their 2021 season off to a bad start with their loss at home to the Denver Broncos. The team was next to last in scoring in 2020 with an average of 17.5 points per game.
They spent a ton of money this offseason in attempt to upgrade the offense so they can join the rest of the NFL in the new millennium. They still ended up with just 13 points and that only happened because Jones ran in a garbage-time TD with no time left on the clock.
To make matters worse, Daniel Jones couldn’t even depend on blocking from his teammates, because they were too busy blocking each other. The clip below shows Nate Solder getting beat so bad by Von Miller that he actually ended up blocking teammate Devonte Booker.
The Giants quarterback was 22-for-37 for 267 yards and a touchdown in Sunday’s opener against the Broncos at MetLife Stadium.
This team still has a long way to go.
