Wide receiver Elijah Moore wasn’t around to celebrate clinching a playoff berth with his Browns teammates after Thursday night’s win over the New York Jets due to a brutal head injury.
The Browns wide receiver’s head hit the ground hard after a tackle and he repeatedly shook his arms as he lay on the field.
Moore spent Thursday night in a hospital and Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said Friday that Moore is home now and is in the concussion protocol.”He’s doing better,” Stefanski said. “Those are always scary.”
Moore was able to get up and walk off the field to the locker room with trainers as his status is in doubt for the Browns’ next game which is very important.
The Browns’ path to the No. 1 seed in the AFC and a first-round bye in the NFL Playoffs isn’t as farfetched as you’d think as they just need to win out and have a few things happen in their favor during other games.Moore is a big part of trying to make that happen.
