Trouble in NYC!
Last week, the New York Giants shocked everybody when they selected QB Daniel Jones with the No. 6 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, a move that is definitely looked at as being the eventual guy to replace Eli Manning behind center.
The Giants began their rookie mini-camp Friday, so it was officially Day 1 of practice for likely successor to Eli Manning.
According to NJ.com, Jones completed 7 of 10 passes in 7-on-7 drills and completed 3 of 7 passes in 11-on-11 team periods.
Seems all well and good, but we still hadn’t heard a peep from Eli Manning about the situation.
On Saturday, head coach Pat Shurmur revealed how the starting quarterback reacted to the news of the Giants drafting a quarterback in the top-10.
“He had no response,” Shurmur said to reporters.
