Eli Manning Begins Competition With Daniel Jones By Throwing Multiple INTs At Practice

The New York Giants returned to East Rutherford for their first full practice of organized team activities on Monday and it did not start well for Eli Manning.

This signaled the first leg of the competition between the future hall of famer in Eli Manning and incoming rookie QB Daniel Jones.

Although Manning is the presumed starter, if he starts the season the same way he started OTA’s on Monday, he could be benched.

It should be noted that the Giants have ranked in the top 10 defenses in the NFL in takeaways just once in the last five years.

Over the last two years, Eli Manning has 40 touchdown passes and 33 turnovers. Giants are 8-23 in those games. Turnovers are clearly an issue.
