Eli Apple simply cannot find a single friend on social media that hasn’t blasted him for his performance in the Super Bowl. To be fair, he pretty much deserved it for the amount of trash talking he put out leading to the game.
From trashing his former teams to other players in the league, the cornerback has become known to not hold back from smack-talk online.
Apple’s fellow NFL players took a page out of the 26-year-old’s playbook and roasted him following the Bengals’ 23-20 loss at the hands of the Rams. That also included popular sports content creator Annie Agar.
“Such an incredible experience providing coverage at my first Super Bowl, unlike Eli Apple,” Agar wrote on Twitter.
Eli Apple’s mom, Annie Apple, saw the tweet going viral, so she decided to fire back at the young lady for dissing her son.
“I can believe that. Word on the street is you catch a lotta balls. Mainstream media stays on that bulls—t,” Annie Apple said on Twitter.

Apple was flagged with a penalty on the final Rams drive for pulling on Cooper Kupp’s jersey, and then Matthew Stafford fed the ball to Kupp in the back of the end zone without any reaction from Apple for the game-winning touchdown.
His fate was sealed.
Chiefs wide receivers Mecole Hardman and Tyreek Hill started it off, then Saints star receiver Michael Thomas joined in, and even Ravens QB Lamar Jackson had something to say.
