Tyreek Hill had an outstanding game on Thursday night, catching 10 passes for 160 yards. Hill currently leads the NFL with 477 receiving yards.
Just a few days ago, he had major trash talk for Eli Apple headed into Thursday night.
He certainly backed it up with his play, but his team couldn’t come out with the victory, especially after Tua had to leave the game on a stretcher. Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel confirmed after the team’s 27-15 loss that Tagovailoa had suffered a concussion – a traumatic brain injury caused by a blow to the head.
After the 27-15 win over Miami, Eli Apple, who admitted that he had his “hands full” covering Hill, still made sure to throw a bit of salt on his wounds.
“It’s always good to win. Especially this week when it’s a little added with people talking,” Apple said, per the team’s website. “But it’s about who leaves the game with a dub. We did.”
After an 0-2 start, the reigning Super Bowl runner-up Bengals move to 2-2 on the season.
