Most people outside of Cincinnati likely had no clue that Eli Apple was still in the NFL after he flamed out in New York and New Orleans. The Bengals cornerback went on an overnight Twitter tirade calling out his former teams in the Giants and Saints, blasting both them and their fan bases.
In the midst of doing that, Apple found sometime to put his own mother in a body bag with one response when she took to Twitter to complain about the price of AFC Championship game tickets. A Twitter user tagged Eli and he delivered a vicious response.
Apple, who starred at Ohio State before he was taken in the first round by the Giants in 2016, signed a one-year contract with the Bengals in March.
Apple is having one of his best seasons in Cincinnati, collecting 49 tackles and two interceptions for the AFC Championship Game-bound Bengals. He has his worked cut out for him when he gets matched up with Tyreek Hill and the Kansas City Chiefs up next.
