Chicago Bears star safety Eddie Jackson posted, then deleted, a tweet that questioned why T.J. Watt was named to the Pro Bowl.
The reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year was named to his fourth straight Pro Bowl despite missing seven games this season due to injury. Per Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk, Jackson posted the following tweet before deleting it:
“How somebody miss 6 games but still make pro bowl I miss two games so far but taken off ballot.”
interceptions, six pass defenses and a pair of forced fumbles. But at the end of the day, the Pro Bowl roster simply comes down to the fan voting.
Last season, Watt notched 22.5 sacks, which matched Michael Strahan’s single-season record that was set in 2001. In seven games this season, Watt has four sacks, four pass defenses and one forced fumble.
Watt posted double-digit sacks every year from 2018 to 2021, and he surely would have hit the feat again this year if he didn’t miss seven games.
