The Philadelphia Eagles could be one of the teams to make a move for Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook amid rumors the player could be traded ahead of next season.
The Vikings are over the salary cap and, given that the player is carrying a cap hit of $14 million, rumors of a possible trade have been swirling since the end of the campaign.
The Eagles, who played in the last game of the season, having lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs, have been attached to odds of +450 to land the RB by Bookies.com. The sportsbook has also posted an implied probability of 18.2 percent.
The only team outside of Minnesota with better odds than Philadelphia Miami, with the Dolphins at +350 with a 22.2 percent implied probability.
The Eagles might have plenty of spots to fill out on their roster as multiple big names are set for free agency this offseason. Those include running back Mile Sanders and his backup Boston Scott. While the Eagles will try to keep both of them, they will likely look to make additions.
The team was already looking to upgrade its backfield before last year’s trade deadline, having made inquiries over Alvin Kamara and Christian McCaffrey.
