Who’ll win a massive NFC East showdown on Saturday between the Eagles and Cowboys? NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport says the Philadelphia Eagles may rest quarterback Jalen Hurts until playoffs if team wins vs. the Dallas Cowboys.
If the team does out victorious, one player on the team is sending a message about this upcoming NFC East matchup.
“Please don’t be surprised today!” tweeted C.J. Gardner-Johnson. “Fly Eagles Fly.”
Hurts was ruled out with a shoulder injury and could miss the Week 17 contest against New Orleans as well. With Jalen Hurts ruled out, quarterback Ian Book will dress for the first time this season.
For their first matchup, Cowboys QB Dak Prescott was not available due to injury as well. It looks like both matchups won’t prove anything since both starting QB’s won’t face each other. We might get that matchup in the postseason.
