Philadelphia Eagles superstar wide receiver A.J. Brown delivered an epic quote that could serve as the season-saving message the team sorely needs.
Coming of a stunning home loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, the Eagles enter Week 18 with an 11-5 record. They have dropped four of their last five following a 10-1 start, now needing a win over the New York Giants and a Dallas Cowboys loss to the Washington Commanders to claim the NFC East division crown.
Times are indeed tense and frustrating for the defending NFC champions, but Brown delivered a much-needed powerful message for his team while speaking to reporters on Wednesday.
“The Seattle game, that was on us, we messed that up,” Brown said in an attempt to deflect blame away from head coach Nick Sirianni, per Eliot Shorr-Parks of 94WIP.com. “I have nothing but respect for him. We ride with Nick, we ride with (offensive coordinator) Brian (Johnson).”
Sirianni lost Jonathan Gannon (defensive coordinator) and Shane Steichen (offensive coordinator) last year after they took head coaching jobs with the Arizona Cardinals and Indianapolis Colts, respectively.
Brian Johnson took over as the OC, with Sean Desai receiving the DC duties. However, Sirianni took defensive play-calling duties away from Desai in favor of Matt Patricia for their Week 15 game against the Seattle Seahawks, a 20-17 Philly loss.

The Eagles certainly don’t look like the 2022 juggernaut that was potentially one non-controversial defensive holding call away from the Super Bowl. But still, very few teams can match their overall star power and roster depth.
The pieces are there for the Eagles to compete for another Super Bowl. It’s simply on them to execute the plays.
