Philadelphia Eagles rookie Jalen Carter had a fiery response for fans who got on him for crying during Sunday’s 42-19 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
Both the Eagles and Denver Broncos saw five-game streaks snapped in Week 13, with Nick Sirianni’s men nursing a second defeat of the season as they fell to their conference rivals at home.
Sirianni appeared to have some difficulty getting through to Carter, who was hit with a personal foul at one point. The defensive tackle appeared to be crying on the sideline, though who could say as it was raining?
In any case, it appears he was very emotional.
Fans had all the jokes after cameras caught the player possibly sweating through his eyeballs. And, according to the NFL Rookie Watch account on X, he had a feisty retort.
“I’ll rather cry for losing a game then cry that I’m still broke y’all get y’all life together,” the DT was quoted as saying.

While the Eagles have been the NFL’s best team all season, things could flip pretty quickly as they have another conference clash against the Dallas Cowboys next Sunday. The Niners, Cowboys, and Detroit Lions are now all 9-3, so it could get really interesting.
