Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley had the perfect response to Jameis Winston’s question during the first day of Super Bowl week.
Last week, Fox Sports announced that Jameis Winston will be a digital correspondent for Super Bowl 59 in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Cleveland Browns quarterback and pending free agency was on hand for Barkley’s Super Bowl week Opening Night media session.
Representing Fox Sports, the first overall pick of 2015 asked Barkley who should sign him in free agency. The 2024 rushing champion suggested “New York”, prompting Winston to ask for clarity on either the Jets or Giants.
Barkley clarified the Giants, his old team:

The Giants will indeed be in the market for a new quarterback, so they actually do make sense as a landing spot for Jameis Winston. Daniel Jones was released from his contract late in the season, and veteran backup Drew Lock took over as the starter.
Lock obviously isn’t an option to start again next year, so GM Joe Schoen will have to look extensively for a new QB. New York could take a quarterback with the No. 3 pick, but they also have options in the trade market (Kirk Cousins and Aaron Rodgers could be available) and free agency (Russell Wilson, Justin Fields and Jameis Winston, among others).

Jameis Winston Had An Inconsistent Year In Cleveland
The Browns got both versions of Jameis Winston in 2024: The one who can air it out and really sling the football, and the one who commits mind-numbing turnovers.
Winston threw for 2,121 yards, 13 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in 12 game appearances, losing five of seven starts. It’s safe to say that he won’t be returning to the Browns, but there should be plenty of interest on the open market.
