Last year, Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz stayed healthy throughout the regular season, but it came to an end during the first quarter of his playoff appearance when a Jadeveon Clowney hit ended his day.
This year, with two weeks until the regular-season opener, Wentz has a new injury to deal with it already.
The Eagles announced that Wentz is day-to-day with a lower body injury.
“Carson Wentz (lower body) is day to day,” McManus tweeted. “Believed to be a minor soft tissue injury. Team being cautious.”
Despite going into the locker room and not participating during the scrimmage, Wentz returned to the field with his practice jersey on to observe practice.
