Carson Wentz is soon going to make his way off the Philadelphia Eagles roster fairly soon.
Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni stated during his press conference that having two quarterbacks who could both start was a “good problem” for the Eagles entering the 2021 NFL offseason.
“We have two quarterbacks in Carson Wentz and Jalen Hurts that are top-notch quarterbacks. A lot of teams don’t have any,” Sirianni told reporters earlier this offseason. “So just really excited to work with both of them.”
The team won’t be having that ‘good problem’ as the team is expected to part ways with him in a trade.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Eagles are looking for “a Matthew Stafford package” in return for Wentz. The Lions received QB Jared Goff, two first-round picks and a third-round pick.
“The Eagles are said to be looking for, in the words of one well-placed source, ‘a Matthew Stafford package’ in return for Wentz. The Lions traded Stafford to the Rams last weekend for a third-round pick this year, two future first-round picks and quarterback Jared Goff, the player selected directly in front of Wentz as the top two picks in the 2016 NFL draft.”
Among the teams that have expressed some level of interest in Wentz are the Chicago Bears and Indianapolis Colts.

Late in the 2020 season, the Eagles decided to bench Wentz in favor of rookie QB Jalen Hurts and he subsequently demanded a trade if the team planned on moving forward with Hurts as the starter.
Wentz completed only 57.4 percent of his passes in 2020 for 2,620 yards with 16 touchdowns and 15 picks.
