Philadelphia Eagles star rookie defensive tackle addressed an incident involving him and a woman at a Target store earlier this week.
Per E.J. Smith of The Philadelphia Inquirer, there were reports that a woman with Carter “stole merchandise from” a Target store. Carter stated that the incident was “probably just a misunderstanding.”
Citing sources, Smith reported that Carter and the women spoke to a Target employee and police officers. There were no arrests, and police did not end up filing a report, per Smith.
The Eagles drafted the Georgia Bulldogs star ninth overall. The 6-foot-3 Carter is having a tremendous rookie year for the Eagles, recording four sacks and two forced fumbles in a rotational role.
Carter and the Eagles enter Week 11 with the best record in football (8-1). They’ll visit the defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs in a SB 57 rematch on Monday night.
After visiting the Chiefs, the Eagles will return home for a Week 12 contest against Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills.
