Dom Disandro, A.K.A “Big Dom,” has issued an apology following the incident that saw him thrown out of the Eagles Week 13 showdown with the 49ers.
Both Dom and Dre Greenlaw were handed their marching orders after they got into a spat on the sideline. The Eagles’ head of security took issue with Greenlaw suplexing wide receiver DeVonta Smith and things got heated, with Greenlaw hitting him in the face.
The Niners linebacker was penalized for unnecessary roughness and subsequently sent off, while DiSandro was also ordered to leave. He walked off to a standing ovation from the Philly crowd.
Greenlaw revealed on Wednesday that they have exchanged apologies since their ugly confrontation.
“We just exchanged a formal apology just between me and [Niners general manager John Lynch] and some of the same people that we do know that in the building and stuff like that,” Greenlaw said, per ESPN.
“He seemed like a genuine guy. Seemed like a guy that everybody loved in the building. So, I hate that, honestly. I really hate that it even escalated and went to that.”
