The Philadelphia Eagles and Cleveland Browns have been taking part in joint practices throughout the week.
As is often the case with these multi-team practices during the preseason, players not only trash talk but also fight with their opponents as we’ve seen multiple times already.
Among the trash talking going on between the two teams was an exchange between Eagles WR DeVonta Smith and Browns DB Richard LeCounte that has gone viral on social media.
Smith told LeCounte that he put him on the bench the last time he saw him, which was in reference to their time in college. LeCounte, a former fifth-round pick, played college football at Georgia. In 2020, Smith had 11 catches for 167 yards and two touchdowns against the Bulldogs.
The two teams are set to square off in the second week of preseason action on Sunday. Fans may get lucky and see Smith lining up opposite LeCounte.
During his rookie season in the NFL, Smith racked up 64 receptions on 104 targets with 916 yards and five touchdown catches.
