The easiest thing to do when pointing to why the Philadelphia Eagles have been on such a role that has them headed to the Divisional Round is to credit Nick Foles. If you’re a football purist, you’ll notice the lesser known players on the team making a huge impact that won’t show up in the stats following a game.
Eagles rookie tight end Dallas Goedert has grown up very quickly in his first campaign in the NFL and he’s making huge plays on the field to help his team win.
During the Eagles-Bears Wild Card showdown last weekend — Goedert was somehow able to do what most left tackles have been unable to accomplish all year, and that’s contain Khalil Mack and keep him away from the quarterback.
Mack was held to a relatively quiet night which was just good enough on the Eagles final possession to lead them to a game winning touchdown.
The rookie tight end also added a touchdown during the Wild Card game that proved to be extremely huge.
