Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown had three touchdown catches during Sunday’s 35-13 romp of the Pittsburgh Steelers — a win that elevated Philadelphia to 7-0 for just the second time in franchise history.
It was a great day for him and his best performance since being traded to the team. The NFL thought it was pretty cool, but it did not stop them from sending him a drug test.
On the day, he caught 6 passes for 156 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Brown has 39 catches for 659 yards and five touchdowns through seven games, the most receiving yards for any Eagles player since Terrell Owens in 2005. He is also the first player with 100 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns in the first half of a game since Tampa Bay’s Mike Evans in Week 3 of 2019, according to ESPN Stats & Information research.
At this point, the entire city of Philadelphia might need to get tested as the Phillies are in the World Series, and Philadelphia Union players, who earned a spot in the MLS Cup on Sunday.
