The emotions were high on Friday as dozens of friends and teammates joined the wife of late Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins and packed Allegheny Center Alliance Church for a private service that celebrated the 24-year-old’s life.
Dwayne Haskins’ wife, Kalabrya, was very emotional as she said her final goodbyes to the love of her life.
At the conclusion of the service, three white doves were released into the air.

Most of the current Steelers roster, including quarterbacks Mitch Trubisky and Mason Rudolph, attended the 90-minute ceremony.
Haskins was in south Florida as part of a workout and bonding session orchestrated by Trubisky when he allegedly ran out of gas and tried to cross the highway in an attempt to get some. Haskins was struck and killed by a dump truck.
Dwayne and Kalabrya, whose maiden name is Gondrezick, got married in March 2021. They were in Las Vegas to renew their vows several months later when Gondrezick was arrested and charged with battery.
Haskins was less than a month away from his 25th birthday when he died. The former Rose Bowl MVP and first-round pick by Washington threw for 12 touchdowns and 14 interceptions in 16 career NFL games.
