Dwayne Haskins has a lot on his plate in 2020.
The 2019 first-round pick completed just 55 percent of his passes and throwing three touchdowns to seven interceptions for a 61.2 passer rating in his first seven NFL games with the Washington Redskins. It led to rumors of the team possibly going in another direction during the offseason.
In March, the franchise did trade for QB Kyle Allen who is being reunited with his former head coach Ron Rivera. Even though the 24-year-old started 12 games in 2019, he threw for 17 touchdowns, 16 interceptions while taking 46 sacks. He ended up being benched during the final few games of the year.
He is not expected to be a threat to Haskins job, but the 2nd-year starter still feels some type of way about the noise surrounding his name.
Haskins took to Twitter on Tuesday and sent a cryptic tweet that said, “Once you cross me, you lost me. No more fake love.”
One only knows who he is referring to.
