Quarterback Dwayne Haskins is no longer with a team after the Washington Football Team decided to part ways with him on Monday.
Haskins took to Twitter to send a statement over his sudden release from the team that drafted him. On Twitter, Haskins wrote that he takes “full responsibility for not meeting the standards of a NFL QB & will become a better man & player because of this experience.”
His release comes just one day after the team benched him for Taylor Heinicke who performed better than him in a limited amount of time.
Haskins finished 14-of-28 with 154 yards, two interceptions and one lost fumble before being benched in the fourth quarter.
