Russell Wilson’s postgame slogans have become quite the “thing” over the years. Whether he’s thanking his Lord Jesus Christ, or dropping his cheesy “let’s ride” line, people always seem to get a kick out of Russ’ comments.
And now, with the Denver Broncos quarterback struggling, it looks like some of his opponents may be using those same comments against him.
Following last night’s 16-13 overtime win over Russ’ Broncos, Los Angeles Chargers kicker Dustin Hopkins spoke with Lisa Salters about his gutsy performance — as he booted three field-goals, including the game winner, while gutting out a hamstring injury.
But before he got into details about his performance, he took a moment to “say thank you to his lord and savior Jesus Christ.”
You can see the smirk on his face right before he says it. Makes you think he had this planned going into that interview.
