On Thursday night, the Denver Broncos took on the Atlanta Falcons in the Hall of Fame Game and it was not a good night for Drew Lock.
During the game, the former Missouri star quarterback took over for Kevin Hogan in the first half and completed 7-of-11 passes for just 34 yards and took two sacks in the process. Lock’s seven drives gained 87 total yards, five ended in a punt, (three three-and-outs), one concluded in a fumble and one on downs.
Here’s Lock’s highlights for the game:
He was the only Broncos QB who couldn;t lead the team to a touchdown.
Following the game, the rookie QB had the right attitude about his performance but would soon give a terrible assessment about his struggles.

“I’ll rate it as a learning game,” Lock said, via the team’s official website. “There’s definitely things I’ll learn there, but I’m excited that I’m sitting here and that was the first time ever stepping out on the field.
Terrible assessment:
“It was the Hall of Fame game. It wasn’t the Super Bowl, it wasn’t the playoffs.”
Good assessment:
“There’s a lot of things for me to learn, a lot of things for me to look forward to, to progress a little bit.”
Joe Flacco certainly has nothing to worry about in Denver, because last night showed us that Lock has a long way to go to show that he should be a starter in the league.
