Was the 2019-2020 season the final year of Drew Brees wearing a New Orleans Saints uniform?
Well Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that the future hall of famer is being courted by one non-ESPN network that has contacted him about whether he would be interested in transitioning from quarterback to TV game analyst.
However, Schefter says Brees hasn’t made a decision about his future.
“Drew has not spoken with them or anyone about any new opportunities,” a source close to Brees tells Schefter. “Until such time as a decision is made about next season, he will not be engaging in any conversations regarding or considering any new opportunities.”
Schefter stated Brees would be viewed as an immediate commodity transitioning from the field to the booth, much like Tony Romo when he retired years ago to head to CBS.
As of right now, the Saints have zero quarterbacks under contract, as Brees and Teddy Bridgewater set to be unrestricted free agents and Taysom Hill headed for restricted free agency.
