No matter what Drake tries to do, he simply cannot get away from Kendrick Lamar.
Lamar put an exclamation point on another historic moment in rap’s evolution. The Grammy winner took music’s biggest stage at Super Bowl 59 for a halftime performance that won’t soon be forgotten.
With Samuel L. Jackson in a full Uncle Sam outfit and top hat, the rapper kicked off his 13-minute performance in front of 76,000 fans.
The California native teased playing “Not Like Us”‘ several times before eventually playing it at the end of his set.
A week after winning five Grammys for his Drake diss track “Not Like Us,” Kendrick Lamar took a victory lap by playing it again.
Drake previously issued a statement addressing Kendrick’s diss song. He sued Universal Music Group (UMG) for defamation.
The Canadian’s lawsuit challenges both the song’s release and its promotion, arguing that the track falsely portrays him in a damaging light.

His legal team issued a new statement ahead of Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl Halftime Show performance.
“UMG is masquerading as a champion of artistic freedom by calling its actions merely ‘entertainment,’ but there is nothing entertaining about pedophilia or child abuse in the real world,” Drake’s legal team stated. “We are confident that the evidence we will ultimately present at trial—including information we’ve already learned and continue to receive since filing the lawsuit—will expose UMG’s gross prioritization of its own corporate profits and executive bonuses over its exclusively signed artists’ well-being and the truth.”

Drake Is Currently On Tour
Drake shocked music fans last November when he threatened to move the ongoing saga of his rap beef with Kendrick Lamar to the courtroom.
This was something that is unheard of in battle rap.
Despite months and weeks of talk about Kendrick Lamar not playing “Not Like Us” at the Super Bowl, he ultimately did.
As for the Canadian rapper, he is currently in Australia for his “Anita Max Win Tour.”
