JJ Watt is a savage on and off the field. The three-time Defensive Player of the Year didn’t hold back when the DraftKings Twitter account took a shot at him earlier this week.
The feud began when Watt posted a picture of himself throwing a ball at practice, which DraftKings quote-tweeted with the caption “Intercepted.” The Cardinals defensive lineman responded with a screenshot of the company’s sinking stock price.
“You might want to think about intercepting some profits sometime soon,” Watt wrote.
According to a report from Darren Rovell, the sportsbook responded back to Watt by offering new odds on Watt to make his first Super Bowl.

“On Thursday, DraftKings came back with a rebuttal of sorts, boosting the odds on Watt to make his first Super Bowl from 20/1 to 50/1 for a 24-hour period. The bet, which technically is for the Cardinals to win the NFC, has a max bet of $10, but DraftKings said would all will go to charity of Watt’s choice.
“After getting sacked on Twitter yesterday, clearly we are safer to be on J.J. Watt’s good side,” said DraftKings co-founder and North American president Matt Kalish, in a statement.”
DraftKings’ stock price peaked at over $63 per share last September, but as of this writing, it has plummeted to $10.64.
Watt, the three-time Defensive Player of the Year, was limited to just seven games last season after undergoing shoulder surgery. He recorded 52 tackles with five sacks and 14 tackles for loss in 2020.
