A risk-taking DraftKings sportsbook customer is placing a giant six-figure wager on Super Bowl 58, one that will net the bettor over $1 million in winnings if they hit on it.
On Thursday, DraftKings announced on X/Twitter that a customer has placed $600,000 on the San Francisco 49ers and the -120 money line for Super Bowl 58 against the Kansas City Chiefs. If the 49ers hit it, the customer will take in $1.1 million in winnings.
The 49ers are a slim two-point favorite to defeat Patrick Mahomes and the defending Super Bowl champions in the big game. It’s worth noting, of course, that Mahomes is 10-0-1 as an underdog in games away from Kansas City’s home venue of Arrowhead Stadium.
So as both the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens learned in this year’s postseason, Mahomes and his Chiefs truly embrace the road underdog role better than anybody else.
Not to mention that Mahomes is 3-0 in his career against Kyle Shanahan and the 49ers, including a 31-20 victory in Super Bowl 54 four years ago. Their last meeting took place in Week 7 of the 2022 season, with Kansas City cruising to a 44-23 victory on the road.
