The NFL Scouting Combine has produced some very interesting comments, with at least two draft prospects floating conspiracy theories while speaking to reporters.
One such player is Tip Reiman, who told the media he doesn’t believe birds are real, per TMZ Sports.
“Have you ever seen a baby pigeon?” the tight end asked during an interview. “How do we know that power lines aren’t pigeon recharging stations?”
To be fair, it doesn’t seem like Reiman was serious and was likely going along with the “Birds Aren’t Real” agenda that was being pushed by a dude named Peter McIndoe a few years ago. McIndoe was of the view that our feathered friends are government spy drones.
Serious or not, this will probably go down as one of the more memorable quotes from this year’s Combine.
The TE is hoping to go pro this year following three seasons with Illinois. He made 19 receptions for 203 yards and three touchdowns for the Fighting Illini in 2023, with the yardage and scores marking career highs.

As for the other conspiracy theory, it came from Texas Tech defensive back Tyler Owens, who claimed he doesn’t believe in space or planets while noting that there could be some substance to the flat earth theory.
