The Browns’ second receiver went another week without even seeing a single target and now he won’t have to worry about that any longer.
The Detroit Lions have made a trade shortly before Tuesday’s 4 p.m. deadline, agreeing to send a future sixth-round pick to the Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones.
Peoples-Jones is just 24 years old, but he is in the final year of his rookie contract.
A sixth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft out of Michigan, Peoples-Jones brings big-play ability to one of the NFL’s best teams so far this season. it also gives Jared Goff yet another dynamic person to pair with Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jahmyr Gibbs, Sam LaPorta, and Jameson Williams.
The Lions are 6-2 and just got even more dangerous.
The Browns are in a precarious spot with quarterback Deshaun Watson struggling through a shoulder injury, and the rest of the roster built to contend if they were fully healthy.
