Justin Jefferson is a bonafide star in the NFL; we’ve known that since he began suiting up for the Minnesota Vikings.
However, Donald Trump saw it coming way before that as he correctly predicted the wide receiver would make a lot of money in the pros after his performance in the Peach Bowl in 2019.
The Vikings got themselves a steal as they landed the player considered to be the best wideout in the league as the 22nd overall pick in 2022. And they’re now set to make him one of the highest-paid players in his position, per reports.
Trump can take credit for knowing this would happen as he said so while hosting the LSU Tigers at the White House after they won the National Championship in 2019.
“Justin Jefferson had 14 receptions for 227 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns a college football playoff record. He’s gonna be so rich,” the former POTUS said. “We’re looking at money.”
Trump would turn around to shake Jefferson’s hand during the speech.

The Vikings drafted the WR a few months later and he’s since gone on to break multiple records, making the Pro Bowl three consecutive times, as well as an All-Pro team.
Jefferson led the NFL in receiving yards last season and was named the Offensive Player of the Year. His performances in a Vikings jersey have seen the team offer him what’s believed to be a record-breaking deal.
