Over the weekend, the Miami Dolphins cut three younger offensive linemen. The move was done because they already had two other players they wanted on the team.
The Miami Dolphins are trying to do better by signing two former first-round pick offensive tackles, Cedric Ogbuehi, and Isaiah Wynn.
These are notable signings since Ogbuehi was recently on the New York Jets. Ogbuehi, a first-round choice of the Cincinnati Bengals in 2015, has spent eight seasons with five different teams, most recently with the New York Jets, for whom he started five of the seven games he appeared in last season.
He re-signed with the Jets this offseason, but when New York added Carter Warren with a fourth-round pick and signed veteran Billy Turner he became expendable and was released last week.
Isaiah Wynn entered the league in 2018 as the 23rd overall pick by the New England Patriots. In 2022, Wynn started seven of the nine games he played but finished the season on injured reserve because of a foot injury.
The Patriots did not re-sign him after they signed Riley Reiff in free agency.
